Mohsin's journey began in Afghanistan, where—at just six years old—he balanced school with afternoons spent learning jewelry repair. That early love for the art never left him. At 21, he arrived in the U.S. with nothing but grit and ambition. He worked every job he could find—restaurant busser, valet, even sign holder—while quietly holding onto the dream he carried from back home.

Eventually, that dream found its way back to the bench. He teamed up with a friend in Los Angeles to do repair work, mastering the local trade for over a year. Not long after, he opened his own small repair shop in the historic Jewelry Theater Building, where he served the downtown LA community for nearly two decades.

From that foundation, Zara Jewelers was born.

Today, we carry forward that legacy—combining craftsmanship passed down through generations with a modern approach to style, service, and experience. Every piece we offer reflects the dedication and history that brought us here.
